Tuesday, 1st. The Indian Horse chestnut trees have finished flowering and are now producing tiny conkers. Unlike regular conkers these are smooth and spikeless.
The Mulberry trees are both producing fruit. The Black Mulberry is just below the bowling green and produces succulent fruit that are definitely edible.* The White Mulberry is on the opposite side of the bowling green over the other side of the path, nearer the pond. It has larger leaves and smaller fruit that do not look as appealing.
