Tuesday, 1st. This rare photograph was captured early morning. Just after I caught her resting on the bottom of the tree she upped and dashed inside in the blink of an eye.

At the front of the park, the Bird cherry is full of buds. There is another behind the noticeboard at the entrance to the yard and one behind the flower beds next to the house. They all produce white spikes of flowers.

The Canadian serviceberries have started flowering. This one is next to the bowling green but most of the others are in a similar state. The flowers higher up seem to be coming out first.

The Silver birch near the basketball area is full of catkins.

The female Ash tree is in flower. There are lots of Japanese quince flowers in the Colour garden. There are two Cherry plum trees in the Colour garden, a pink one and a white one, both in flower. Wayfaring trees (Viburnum) are beginning to produce flower buds.

Wednesday, 2nd. There are lots of flowers on the Canadian serviceberries. The Crimson Kings are starting to bud, particularly the one bye the triangle area. Magnolias around the pond are in bloom.

Thursday, 3rd. The Cherry tree in the fruit garden is flowering.

Friday, 4th. More Tibetan whitebeam buds are opening, looking like fairy lights hanging in the tree.

Saturday, 5th. The Wild service tree is starting to produce leaves. There are more Ash flowers apparent.

Sunday, 6th. The Dawn Redwood is producing new leaves. The Sargent’s cherry is in bloom. The Baby’s breath is in flower. There is new leaf growth on the deodar cedars.

Monday, 7th. There are bright red flower buds on the hall crab apple, in the pond area.

Tuesday, 8th. There are flower buds on the Wild service tree. The Blackthorn is in full bloom in the newly cleared bed next to the bowling green. The Norway maples, below the Colour garden, are in flower. The Lime tree further down the field is coming into leaf. Crimson King flowers are opening.

Wednesday, 9th. There are flower buds on the Medlar at the bottom of the park. There is a strong smell of Wild garlic around the pond. There are even more buds, looking like fairy lights, on the Tibetan whitebeam. There is blossom opening up on the Crab apple opposite. Japanese cherry, next to the car park is blossoming. The pink Bird cherries next to the old tennis courts are starting to blossom.

Thursday, 1oth. The Pin cherries, at the bottom of the park, are starting to blossom.

Friday, 11th. Various Elderflower trees are starting to produce flower buds. The Japanese cherry (pink) and the Wild cherry (white), next to the basketball area, are putting on a magnificent display of blossom.

Monday, 15th. More flowers on the Pin cherry.

Thursday, 17th. Flowers are dropping on the Persian ironwood. The red sepals are on the ground, not sure whether the flowers have set to produce any fruit.

Friday, 18th. Silver birch is in full leaf now, next to the Japanese cherry in full bloom. Wild cherry finished. Hall crab apple blossoming.

Saturday, 19th. Lots of petals falling from the Japanese cherry, like confetti.

Sunday, 20th. Lots of buds opening on the Tibetan whitebeam. Crab apple in full bloom.

Monday, 21st. Silver maples producing samaras. Canadian serviceberries have shed their petals and flowers have set ready to produce berries in June. Hazel trees are already developing nuts.

Tuesday, 22nd. Asiatic apple is in full bloom. Wayfaring trees are in bloom. The Bird cherry, next to the old tennis courts, is producing lots of blossom. Crab apple and Lilac are flowering in the newly cleared area next to the yard entrance. The Bird cherry is also flowering.

Wednesday, 23rd. Ducklings on the pond. The hall crab apple is opening more blossom. The Bird cherry, next to Park House, is full of blossom.

Friday, 25th. The Judas tree is starting to flower.

Saturday, 26th. The Crab apple alongside the drive is in full bloom. The Crimson King is in full leaf. The Wild Service tree is starting to open flowers. The Crab apple, alongside Avenue road, is in full bloom.

Sunday, 27th. Wild garlic is flowering. The small Ginkgo, alongside the pond, is coming out in leaf.

Monday, 28th. Goat willow seeds are blowing in the wind. manna Ash has flower buds almost ready to open. The Bladdernut, near the pond, is covered in flowers. The Viburnum, next to the Boxleaf azara, has two types of flowers on it, with two distinct smells.
